Fashion is not only about designing costumes but also extends to fragrances and flavours. A garment with an aesthetic appeal can only be designed if there is a perfect combination of fabric with colour. The reactive dyes manufacturers, vat dyes manufacturers and those of acid dyes ensure a high quality product which gives strength, light fastness, washing fastness and rubbing fastness to the dye. Whereas the herbal extracts manufacturers extract products from natural sources which are used in fragrances and flavours. Their end use is in industries like cosmetics, food, perfumeries, Pharmaceuticals, etc.

Colour Fabric Bonding

Reactive Dyes are highly coloured organic substances used mainly in textile industry.  They have excellent stability, solubility, diffusion, rapid fixation and low affinity value. This results in good washing fastness and the dye does not bleed while washing. They are used in cellulosic fibre, silk, viscose, rayon, etc. Acid dyes are made in an acetic acid or citric acid dye bath. The uptake of the dye is controlled by varying the sodium chloride percentage. They are used on protein based fibres like wool, silk, etc. They are also used in food colours and in laboratories for staining the microscopic specimens. They are classified based on wet fastness as, Levelling dyes, Milling dyes and Metal complex dyes.

Vat dying is dyeing cotton, wool or some synthetic fibres in a bucket or vat. Fibre reactive and acid dyes can be used in vat dyeing. The vat dyeing consists of a Redox reaction wherein a reducing agent is used to solubilize the dye; the fibre is immersed in a dye bath devoid of oxygen and then exposed to air.

Herbal Extracts to Enhance Flavours and Fragrances

Herbal extracts have an age old history of being used by humans in various countries like Egypt, China, Germany, Greece, India, etc. Ethnobotany is a study of traditional use of plants and is recognized as an effective way to discover future herbal extracts for various applications such as to enhance flavours for food industry and to make appealing fragrances for cosmetic industry.

Herbal extracts are chemicals from natural sources like flowers like vanilla, rose; fruits like lemon, orange and spices like clove, cinnamon, etc. are extracted using solvents like ethanol or water. They are sold in form of powders, oils or tinctures. They are used as fragrances in cosmetics like body sprays, skin creams, etc. or flavours in toothpastes, food industry and also in Pharmaceuticals.

Herbal extract manufacturers derive extracts from nature or make nature identical extracts. Their toxicity, purity, organoleptic properties are tested to establish authenticity and ensure consumer safety.

Ensuring Strict Quality Controls

Reputed reactive dyes manufacturers, vat dyes manufacturers and acid dyes manufacturers invest in research, innovation and strict quality control. They use latest technology, experienced and skilled work force to ensure high quality, cost effective product. The manufacturing units are state of the art facilities with high temperature and pressure dyeing baths, steamers, vacuum dryers, spin flash dryers etc. The modern lab testing equipment like Spectrophotometer, HPTLC, etc. conform to stringent quality standards.

Concluding

Summing up, one can say where would the fabric, perfume and fragrance industry go without these dyes and extracts?
