  • SunAcid® dyes are water-soluble anionic dyes that are applied to fibers such as silk, wool, nylon and modified acrylic fibers using neutral to acid dye baths. Attachment to the fiber is attributed, at least partly, to salt formation between anionic groups in the dyes and cationic groups in the fiber. SunAcid® dyes are not substantive to cellulosic fibers. Our SunAcid® Dyes such as Acid Black, Acid Red & Acid Yellow are free from all the prohibited Amines and Eco-Friendly.

Acid dyes are water-soluble anionic dyes applied under neutral to acidic conditions. They bond to fibres through salt formation between the dye's anionic groups and cationic groups in the fibre. They are primarily used on protein fibres such as wool, silk, and modified acrylic, and on synthetic fibres like nylon. They are not effective on cellulosic fibres like cotton.
Acid dyes are broadly categorised into levelling acid dyes (good migration and levelling but lower wash fastness), milling acid dyes (better wash fastness, used for wool), and supermilling or neutral-dyeing acid dyes (highest wash fastness, applied under near-neutral pH). Within these categories, grades include Acid Red, Acid Yellow, Acid Orange, Acid Black, Acid Blue, Acid Brown, and Acid Green covering the full colour spectrum.
