'M' Series dyes are Cold Brand reactive dyes from the SunActive® range. They have very good reactivity and fastness properties and need only mild alkaline conditions for application and fixation.

The optimum temperature for 'M' Series dyes is about 25–35°C, using milder alkaline conditions than Hot Brand dyes. Because they fix at a low temperature, they need less heat energy than Hot Brand dyes.

'M' Series dyes are based on dichlorotriazine reactive groups. This highly reactive group bonds covalently with the hydroxyl groups of cellulosic fibres such as cotton and viscose under mild alkali, which is why the dyes fix readily at low temperature and give good wash fastness.

The range has 12 shades: Yellow M4-G (Reactive Yellow 22), Yellow M8G (Reactive Yellow 86), Yellow M4R (Reactive Orange 14), Orange M2R (Reactive Orange 4), Red M5-B (Reactive Red 2), Red M8B (Reactive Red 11), Magenta MB (Reactive Violet 13), Violet C4R (Reactive Violet 14), Blue MR (Reactive Blue 4), Blue M2R (Reactive Blue 81), Turquoise Blue MGN (Reactive Blue 140) and Blue M4GD (Reactive Blue 168).
